On Sunday, 30 August and 27 September, admission to selected guided tours at this site will be free of charge. Please obtain your free ticket in advance through the online booking system. Capacity for each guided tour is limited. On these special days, the following tours will be available: Castle (Main Tour), The moat (tour route without the guide) and Northeast tower - attic with a view.
Nové Hrady castle - Fort at the foot of the Nové Hrady hills
Medieval castle of the lords of White and Red Roses, surrounded by a massive bricked circular moat. The castle commemorates a victorious commander at the the Battle of White Mountain, whose family had an indelible impact on the local South Bohemian landscape.
